Thulir Therapy

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Thulir's clinical services, platform security, and sensory settings.

What clinical support services does Thulir offer?

Thulir specializes in providing online, neuro-affirming therapy for autistic children in three primary areas:

  • Occupational Therapy (OT): Sensory regulation, routine building, and environment optimization.
  • Speech & Language Therapy (SaLT): Social understanding and PECS communication support.
  • Clinical Psychology: Family-centered behavioral guidance and counseling.

How are therapists on Thulir verified?

Security and quality are our highest priorities. Every therapist on our platform undergoes a rigorous manual verification process before taking on caseloads. This includes checks against the official UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registry and verification of an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

How are session recordings managed?

Recording is entirely optional and deactivated by default. To record a therapy session, Thulir enforces a strict dual-consent safeguarding process requiring explicit opt-in confirmation from both the guardian and the therapist. Once recorded, files are encrypted and automatically deleted after a strict 30-day retention period.

What is Calm Mode?

Calm Mode is a specialized sensory setting designed to reduce cognitive load and visual overstimulation. When activated, the platform strips out all high-arousal elements such as gradient backdrops, glassmorphism blurs, and animations, rendering instead a flat, high-contrast, predictable layout to support focused engagement.
